A workshop to help you release stiff or tense shoulders, to find a greater range of movement and to help you understand your shoulders and how to create more ease in them.
In the first part of this workshop we'll consider the shoulder's structure and why we might be experiencing stiffness or tension there. We'll look at how you can increase your mobility and find strength using functional and pilates based exercises. This section will be quite chatty and there will be some discussion about the movements as we experience them, allowing you to discover which are particularly applicable for you and your shoulders.
In the second part of the session you'll get to enjoy some quiet time, switching off from the mechanics and conscious thinking of movements. I'll guide you through some yin yoga, to bringing awareness to your neck, shoulders and upper back, their alignment and giving you time to experience how different postures and positions are for you in a more general sense of what feels right for your body.
