This is a workshop of two halves, helping you understand how your shoulders can move and then giving you space to feel what that is like.
In the first half of this session we'll consider the shoulder's anatomy and function and how shoulders may become stiff, tense and restricted. Importantly, we will then use functional and pilates movements to help you free up your shoulders, connect, stabilise and strengthen them.
The second half will be experiential and focused on helping you cultivate your own awareness of your shoulders. Movements will be yin and slow flowing yoga and some feldenkrais. It is aimed at bringing ease of movement, release and connection to your shoulders.
Suitable for anyone with shoulders :-) You do not need to have ever done anything like yoga or pilates before. We are focusing on helping you move, and purely using these methods as tools :-)
